The Pay it Forward Coalition came about after the tragic loss of two Police Officers in a week’s time period. After this tragedy, the owners of AZ Guns wanted to throw a benefit to ease the financial burdens of the Officers’ families.
In a very short time they rallied many other businesses within the local area and sought out donations and items for raffles, door prizes, as well as other means to raise money. They not only invited and encouraged the brothers in arms of the fallen to attend, but as firemen they reached out to their co workers and comrades to ensure the event was well attended by members and public servants of not only the City where the loss occurred, but surrounding cities and departments as well.
While the event turned out to be a great success, the reoccurring shortcoming was when potential donors would ask if they held a not-for-profit or 501C3 status. The fact that they did not maintain this discouraged and prevented many people from donating.
It was after this experience that the owners sought out other community members to join and form what is now known as the Pay it Forward Coalition. This organization specifically raises funds for Military Veterans, Firemen, Police Officers, and the general community at large as well as their families in times of need.
As small business owners, the Pay It Forward Coalition has decided to put their “money where their mouth is” by reinvesting a part of their earnings into their community. We encourage you to help us reinvest in our community and give back to those that give.
